About Megalithic Tours

Throughout Britain and Europe we have a wonderful heritage left to us by our ancestors from times when human kind had a real connection to the land. A rich history remains for us to explore from the varied past of these great islands. At Megalithic Tours we visit all sorts of historical sites from many time periods.

The British and European landscape is awash with ancient monuments, many forming whole ancient landscapes of Stone Circles, Megaliths, Henges, Chambered Tombs and natural geological features. Our site visits include the Neolithic/Stone Age to more recent times, including early Christian sites, Knight Templar and the myths and legends of King Arthur.

We also go further a field to the 'Cathar Country' of Southern France, which is the center of much interest and intrigue, especially since the publication of the 'De Vinci Code'. On the 'Magical Malta Tour', we take in some of the earliest megalithic sites in Europe set on this tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean with a distinctive personality of its own.

Our groups are small and friendly and many friendships have been made with like minded travellers. Quite a few people join us for the first time on there own, but they soon find themselves part of the group. Many of our regular travellers join us on many tours and soon find themselves meeting old friends, with memories of past tours shared over dinner and a bottle of wine.
