We are heading off to the spectaular valleys and rugged coastlines of South Wales and to the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park which boasts a whole variety of amazing historical and pre-historical sites. We will be visiting examples, including the Museum of Welsh Life, St. David's the home of the Abbey and Cathedral and many Neolithic Chambered Tombs, Holy Wells and other megalithic sites.  All this and some of the most breath taking scenery in Britain.

Friday October 22nd

Christmas Eve

We will begin our adventure by travelling down to South Wales.  On the way we will take in the Museum of Welsh Life in Cardiff, the birth-pace of Henry Morgan.

Arriving in Tenby, we will book into the Clarence Hotel on Tenby,s spectacular sea front Grand Promenade in time to take in the air before dinner and it is only a short walk through the walls to the old town.

Christmas Day & New Years Eve

After a relaxing breakfast we will have the morning to take in the historic fishing town of Tenby, with its defensive walls and spectacular sea views over the harbour and cove. Our afternoon's tour today will take us to the Pembroke towns of St David's, the location of the historical Abbey and Cathedral and Fishguard, the location of the Dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood.

On today's afternoon tour we will travel back 5,000 years to the time of our ancient ancestors, visiting ancient and mystical sites such as the Pentre Ifan and Carreg Samson Burial Chambers, the Llandeloy and St. Nicholas Well Holy Wells & Sacred Springs and the Parc-y-meirw Stone Row Alignment

We will take the picturesque route home along the coast road of Mid-Wales and through the Cambrian Mountains into North Wales.  To make the most of the day we will call off at interesting sites on the way.
