The beautiful Atlantic peninsula of Cornwall is the home of a whole verity of ancient, mystical and historical sites and we have a full week to explore the wonderful countryside, with its spectacular sea and cliff views on this English Riviera.

We will have two days on the Lands End Peninsula with time at the 'Last Cafe' and where we will visit a plethora of stone monuments, ancient holy wells, Cornish Crosses and ancient settlements. We will also have a full day on Bodmin Moor the home of the famous Hurler Stones, the Cheese Rings and the Quarts Duloe Stone Circle. We will also call in at the Jamaica inn, the old smugglers meeting place on the moor and the location of the smugglers museum and where Daphne Du Maurier and Alfred Hitchcock based their novel and film of the same name. Not far from the inn is a little known church which was once a meeting place of the Knights Templar.

We will also visit the Cornish town of Tintagel where we will visit the Tintagel Castle and Merlin's Cave which have been associated with the Arthurian legend and have some time to explore the shops. We will then move on to Boscastle and to visit the famous and enthralling witchcraft museum, which boosts exhibits from a whole variety of mystical areas.

A full day of free time in Perranporth will be put aside for us to relax on the beech where surfing lessons are available for the energetic. You could walk the cliffs and discover the 'Hidden Church' and other gems of the area, spend time in the hotel pool, or just visit the shops and bars. The Watering Hole pub, in the picture below, is the only licensed beach bar in Britain and is one of the towns life music venues.
